Who I am

Greetings, my name is Joan M. Segraves.  I am currently a student, a teacher, a business owner, a mother, a grandmother,  a sister, a daughter, a cousin, a niece, and aunt, a friend, and much more that I have not written here.  But who am I really? And for that matter who are you?  How do you describe yourself to others?

My description changes depending on who I am talking to or with.

I am someone different to each individual I talk to, and in truth I am constantly examining, recreating, and reinventing myself, to be the person I want to be.

Middle age doesn't mean lay down and die...

It means take a chance and be who you dreamed of being, do something different, and try new things. This is not a practice life, this is the only life you will get on this planet.  No matter where you are in life, there is always a new experience to be gained, and something new to learn.  If you approach life with the attitude that you can learn something from everyone you meet, you tend to have more respect for the individual, than to randomly dismiss someone out of turn.

My Interests

I am an avid reader, and like "riverlot-ing", jet skiing, crocheting, designing jewelry, being a scentsy consultant, am an EMT, and am learning and loving web design.

My plans for this blog

This blog is an assignment for my BIM100 class At Pennsylvania College of Technology.  I had not given much thought to blogging before, but like to write in general, so I am hoping to use this blog to follow my goals and successes, as well as gain from others experience and comments to help me along the way to becoming the best ME, I can be.
I want this blog to reach beyond the class(room), and have a life, and following of its own, to share a journey we humans call LIFE.

SO, WHO ARE YOU?
